Globe valves have the following advantages:
1. The shut-off valve has a simple structure and is relatively convenient for manufacturing and maintenance
2. The working stroke of the shut-off valve is small, and the opening and closing time is short
3. The shut-off valve has good sealing performance, low friction between sealing surfaces, and a longer service life
The disadvantages of shut-off valves are as follows:
1. The shut-off valve has high fluid resistance and requires a greater force to open and close.
2. Stop valves are not suitable for media with particles, high viscosity, and easy coking.
3. Poor regulating performance of shut-off valves
The types of globe valves are divided into external threaded globe valves and internal threaded globe valves based on the position of the valve stem threads. According to the flow direction of the medium, there are straight through globe valves, direct flow globe valves, and angle globe valves. Globe valves are divided into packing sealed globe valves and bellows sealed globe valves according to their sealing forms.
The installation and maintenance of shut-off valves should pay attention to the following matters:
1. Handwheel and handle operated globe valves can be installed at any position in the pipeline. 2. Handwheels, handles, and lifting mechanisms are not allowed for lifting purposes
3. The flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the arrow direction shown on the valve body
